Our games

Welcome to GolfLife, a friendly group of golfers at Cottrell Park. We play on Tuesdays and Thursdays for fun, to socialise, and to keep fit and active. Join us for a round and be part of our community.

Tuesday and Thursday formats

We normally play singles on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, if a minimum of 3 players (4 for competition) arrive, we can play a fourball-aggregate. In this format, teams of two play their own ball, and the combined score for each hole is taken. Each player contributes an extra 50p towards the Winners Pot. We typically play 14 holes. If all players agree, 18 holes can be played. If fewer than 9 holes are completed, no data will be entered into records, and no handicap adjustments will be made. For the 14 holes played, the 4 missed holes are counted as 2 Stableford points for each player.

Open to all golfers

GolfLife is open to everyone, with space for up to 12 players. We currently have availability for new members, so feel free to join us and experience our friendly atmosphere.

More than just golf

Beyond the greens and fairways, what truly makes playing with GolfLife special is the strong sense of friendship and mutual support we foster within the group. It's a great way to connect and build lasting bonds.

Your first game with us

If you're thinking of joining us for the first time: we tee off early around 8:10 to 8:30 and play only 14 holes, not the full 18. This means our games take approximately 2.5/ 3 hours, leaving you with the rest of your day free following our group chat over coffee in the clubhouse.
